The stockings are hung by the chimney with care, everyone is filled with Christmas cheer, and the Very Perry Christmas Parade will soon be here!  The parade takes place Saturday, December 2nd and begins at 4:00 pm on Washington Street in downtown Perry.  It will move up to Main Street and down General Courtney Hodges Boulevard. The Georgia National Fair Farm/City Days Parade is this Saturday, October 7th!  The parade recognizes and salutes the farm/agriculture/city relationship which contributes so much to Perry’s growth and continued progress.  This is also a great kick-off for the fair.  The parade will line up on Washington Street in front of Perry City Hall at 9:00 a.m.  It will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and proceed through downtown Perry on Main Street, south on General Courtney Hodges Boulevard, east on Larry Walker Parkway, stopping at the North Gate of the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter.  The Kiwanis Club of Perry and the 28th Georgia National Fair are sponsoring the parade.  As always, there will be lots of color, clowns, clapping, clanging, & banging to brighten the day for thousands of Georgians and out-of-state visitors.  Everyone is welcome.

The Perry Chamber of Commerce invites you to the Independence Parade & Freedom Fireworks celebration on Sunday, June 25th. The parade starts at 6:00 pm on Washington St. featuring Perry’s hometown heroes, military units, colorful floats, Uncle Sam, and much more. Follow the parade along Washington St., Main St. and General Courtney Hodges Blvd. to the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter for free admission to a fun, picnic style celebration starting at 7:00 pm at the West Gate. Food vendors will be on site or bring your own picnic, coolers, blankets, and chairs. Enjoy live music by the Celebration Band and fireworks at dark. No alcohol, pets, or personal fireworks, please.
