Mistletoe Market is presented by the Balvaunuca Club of Perry, Georgia. Organized in 1980, the Balvaunuca Club has been an active civic club for women in the Perry area. Most people are curious about the name Balvaunuca, which was derived from two Indian names Balseria and Savaunuca. Club members began fundraising to help the needs of women and children in Houston County by selling Coca-Cola during the Perry Art Committee’s presentation of the Augusta Ballet in 1980. Today the club, comprised of just 35 active members, proudly hosts the Mistletoe Market in Perry every year during the third weekend of November. Each year, they welcome over 8000 shoppers throughout the three-day market! They’re celebrating twelve years in 2017, and they’re gearing up to make this the best Mistletoe Market ever!
